What a wonderful day we had in school today. We welcomed our grandparents this morning for our Grandparents Day celebration. We also made St. Brigid’s crosses, while learning all about her life and values. Thankyou to Fr. O’Connell who blessed the crosses and rushes during our service. The children really enjoyed using the rushes to make the crosses, a skill often shown to us by our grandparents. Thankyou to Saorlaith’s (Year 4) Granda who sent us in a huge bag of rushes! It really was such an enjoyable and relaxed day.
