Celebrating World Book Day in Altinure
We all had a great time celebrating World Book Day this week. The younger boys and girls enjoyed relaxing with their favourite books, word hunts and creating new characters and settings for their stories. A few ladies even began to write their own book! There was lots of role play and drama guessing the characters from our favourite books. Some KS2 pupils entered the great “Footy and Booky World Book Day Quiz” and listened to story snippets from David Walliams and other authors. They also made recommendations to others for books that they believed were a great read. Pupils enjoyed activities such as scavenger hunts, book recommendation bingo and they designed book marks, character selfies and new book covers. We also met some great characters from books when pupils dressed up as their favourite character.
