Children’s Liturgy
Children’s Liturgy will be taking place on a weekly basis during the 10:30am Sunday Masses in St Mary’s Church in Altinure, starting on Sunday the 12th March. Children’s Liturgy is open to all children in P1, P2 and P3 and is a great opportunity for them to experience the Word of God in a way that is more accessible to young children. These sessions will be led by the parish's Pope John Paul II Award students, along with a group of dedicated parent volunteers. At the beginning of Mass, the children will be invited to go to the sacristy along with the JP2 students and parent volunteers, where the children will listen to the children’s version of Gospel and do a short activity. They will then re-join everyone in the main chapel just before the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
If you are a parent of a child in P1, 2 or 3 and would like to volunteer as a Parent Supervisor during the Children's Liturgy on Sundays, please contact reception and Mrs Redmond will pass your details on to Charlotte, our Faith Formation Co-ordinator.
