Our Eco-council has been very busy recently. Firstly, pupils carried out a litter pick around the school grounds. Then, they listened intently along with our Primary 5 class as Gareth Lamrock from Eco-Schools explained the ‘Wheely Bin Challenge’. Pupils learnt all about the importance of following the ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ rules when we throw away our rubbish. Over the next few weeks, our Eco-council will weigh our school rubbish, then sort and reweigh it, to see how we can reduce the amount going to the black bin and increase the amount in our blue recycling bin. Thanks to Mrs Hutton who leads our Eco-council. Great work everyone!
