Fire Service Visit to P5!
Fire Service Visit
Today we were very lucky to have Marie from the Fire Service NI visit our school to talk to our P5 pupils. Marie educated us on the dangers of fire and how easily they can start and spread. She also gave us some very important information on measures we can take to make sure our homes are ‘fire safe’ and the things we should do immediately if we see the signs of a fire in our home or in our school. We asked her some very interesting questions about her life as a fire fighter and we even found out about non fire related jobs that the Fire Service can be called out to, including road traffic collisions and farming incidents. Marie very kindly gave us some fire safety packs to take home with fun games and activities in them so we can share our new found fire safety knowledge with our family members at home!
