On Tuesday 6th October, we were delighted to welcome Claire Jamison and Fr McCaughey to our school. To our surprise and delight, Claire, on behalf of the Jamison family, presented the school with an absolutely beautiful image entitled 'Do This in Memory of Me' as a fitting tribute to her Mum. The image will take pride of place in the Primary Four classroom, where Mrs Jamison prepared pupils for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion over many years. Fr McCaughey also blessed the framed picture and gave us a lovely LED candle to burn in Mary's memory. Finally, Claire placed flowers from the Jamison family at Our Lady's Grotto in front of the statue which Mrs Jamison had presented to school in June 2019 and Mrs Jamison was remembered in prayer. Staff will also cherish the beautiful Memoriam Cards - parents may view Mrs Jamison's Memoriam Card in the glass cabinet in school reception if they wish. We would like to say a huge thanks to the Jamison family and Father McCaughey - we will treasure this special gift and promise to keep Mrs Jamison's memory alive in St. Mary's PS Altinure. Her legacy lives on. May she rest in peace.
