We are delighted to have once again been awarded the prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag by the environmental charity Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful.
The Eco-Schools Programme is the world’s largest Environmental Education programme and aims to make environmental awareness and action part of the life and ethos of a school.
The internationally recognised Green Flag is the highest award given to Eco-Schools and symbolises excellence in the field of environmental activity. This year our areas of focus for the Green Flag award were Global Learning, Recycling and Waste Reduction, Healthy Living and Outdoor Learning.
Congratulations to our Eco-Council (pictured), who have led our participation in the Eco Schools Programme, and to all pupils and staff, who have taken part with enthusiasm and engagement. Special thanks to Olive, for all her support in our school garden, guiding pupils on sustainability and healthy eating.
