Health and Safety Update
During this period of remote learning, lots has been happening in school! We have had steel supports erected in 4 classrooms to strengthen existing ceilings. Through funding from the Woodland Trust, we are planning to rejuvenate existing raised beds, build a small pond and polytunnel and create a mini tree nursery in Little Learmount, all of which are very exciting. The Woodland Trust has however helped us to identify an issue with ash dieback among some trees that grow between the school fence and the Altinure and Monadore Roads. These diseased trees must be removed for health and safety reasons and this work will be done through the Education Authority as soon as possible. This may involve a short road closure and we appreciate your co-operation in this matter. Safety must come first! We look forward to the children enjoying our new nature areas in the coming months!
