Year 1 started the process of creating leaf compost from the leaves gathering in the playground. After collecting the leaves and placing them into bin bags, we moistened the dry leaves by adding water. Holes were then punched in the bags and placed by our class eco monitors in a shady corner of our garden area. In the Spring we will check the bag to see if the leaves have started to break down.
