Literacy Week took place this week with a focus on Reading. Pupils enjoyed Film media, drama sessions, Literacy games, teachers swapping classes for reading and story teller, Vicky McFarland. Year 1 pupils were delighted to have their Grandparents come in to read to them in the afternoons and Year2/3 paired up with their Year 6 partner so for Reading Buddies. Our Book Fair, courtesy of the Travelling Book Fair was very well supported and we will be using the commission to purchase new titles for the Accelerated Reading library and to supplement class novels. The children thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.
