Our P7 pupils thoroughly enjoyed this active learning task. They worked in small groups and measured and calculated their group average stride length. They then programmed the Micro:bit using variables to become a distance counter, where the number of steps would be multiplied by the average stride length. They were then able to calculate the area of the school hall and make comparisons with their initial estimations. Fantastic work boys and girls!
