During this week, the Year 2/3 students had a fantastic opportunity to participate in a procedural writing task. They were required to draft step-by-step guidelines for carving a pumpkin using the words "first," "next," "then," and "finally." Before beginning the writing task, the children had the chance to carve pumpkins with the help of adults. The kids had a blast scooping out the insides and seeds, and there were plenty of laughs throughout the activity.
