Year 5 were Rocket Scientists on Wednesday 20th November! First, they studied real rockets and discussed their design. Next, they designed paper rockets and launched them using a drinking straw. Finally, they designed a rocket made of light card and added some fins to help its stability. Then came the rocket launching competition. They used a rocket launcher made from a pump and some copper piping to power their rockets. It was amazing how far they flew!! Well done to Caitlin for designing the winning rocket that flew the furthest. Thanks also to Erin's Mum Nichola for being a great help!
