Working hard to put food on the table in P7
28th Sep 2020
As part of their topic ‘Hunger’ and after learning about Seamus Heaney’s poem ‘Digging’, our Primary 7 pupils had lots of fun digging up the potatoes from our school vegetable plot. They then thoroughly enjoyed eating the staple meal in Ireland in the 1800s, potatoes and butter. The potatoes were absolutely delicious! Thanks as always to Olive O’Neill for the wonderful gardening work around our school grounds.
