Today Year 2/3 carried out an experiment to find out if different materials are waterproof or absorbent. We started by discussing what it means if something is waterproof or absorbent and thinking of examples of materials that hold these properties. The children then made predictions about the waterproof properties of paper, cardboard, tin foil, plastic and fabric before testing them in the classroom. They carried out fair tests and recorded their results. Well done year 2/3 scientists.
